Our Therapies

Brisbane Chiropractic takes a holistic, patient-centred approach to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients as quickly as possible. For us, this means staying abreast of the very latest chiropractic interventions and relying on a variety of different treatment approaches tailored to the needs of each individual patient. It also means carefully and thoroughly assessing each patient and recommending other health care professionals if required. We understand the effect that constant pain and impaired mobility can have on every aspect of a patient’s life and that’s why we are committed to delivering genuine results as quickly as possible. Whether you are a one-off patient or someone we see on an ongoing basis, our goal is to reduce and eliminate pain, facilitating significant improvement to your overall quality of life. Our approach includes:

Rather than focusing only on the site of your pain, we undertake a thorough spinal and postural analysis, as well as taking the time to understand your overall health, to uncover the root cause of the problem. At the completion of the assessment, we’ll discuss the results with you and explain our treatment recommendations as well as what we’re aiming to achieve. Using the very latest gentle and effective chiropractic techniques, we’ll work with you to help you not only reduce pain and build strength and mobility but achieve whole body wellness. If we don’t believe your condition will benefit from chiropractic intervention but instead requires an alternative treatment, such as physiotherapy, podiatry etc., we’ll let you know and do our best to refer you to the appropriate specialist.

At Brisbane Chiropractic, we understand that each patient’s pain, physical abilities and overall health is different and individual to them. That’s why we ensure our manual therapy is tailored to your specific needs. We use a variety of gentle yet effective spinal manipulation and joint mobilisation techniques to improve the function of the spine and relieve strain on the surrounding nerves and soft tissue. Depending on your individual requirements or preference, this may include manipulation where a ‘clicking’ sound is heard or may only consist of more gentle stretching and mobilisation type movements.

Dry needling stems from Acupuncture which originated in China thousands of years ago and is widely employed as a proven and effective treatment. Dry needling involves inserting very fine, single use, stainless steel needles into areas of tight tissue or knotted muscles, also known as ‘trigger points’. Dry needling is relatively painless and is well tolerated by most patients. The needles are usually left in the muscles only for a few minutes and, during treatment, it is common for patients to feel slight spasms in the trigger points as muscles release. Dry needling is a highly effective treatment which has the potential to provide immediate pain relief and improved mobility. Having completed advanced and masterclass courses in dry needling, at Brisbane Chiropractic, we rely only on the highest quality, sterile equipment to ensure treatments are administered safely, effectively and hygienically.

If you’ve been living with pain and impaired mobility, you may be anxious at the thought of starting any form of exercise. But a gentle and properly designed series of exercises and postural adjustments for you to work on at home or work can significantly improve your pain, mobility and overall health. Daniel will work closely with you to understand your lifestyle, working environment, physical abilities and time constraints in order to find exercises that meet your needs.

At Brisbane Chiropractic, we treat many patients whose pain and ongoing back and neck problems have been caused by extended periods sitting at a desk for work. In addition to manual therapy, dry needling and exercise prescription, we have specialist training in ergonomics and the way in which the equipment we use can positively or negatively impact on our spinal health. We can help you understand the types of changes you can make to the way you work to reduce the strain on your back and neck and help prevent further deterioration of your condition.
